$2,000 Loans Australia
WHAT IS A $2,000 LOAN?
A $2,000 loan from Sure Cash Finance is a Cash Loan, which is legally called a Small Amount Credit Contract (SACC). This is a regulated small loan in the range of $300–$2,000, with repayment terms from 16 days to 12 months. There is no security required for an SACC loan. Common uses for $2,000 loans include car repairs, a rental bond, or medical or dental bills.
As a licensed Australian credit provider (ACL 390591), Sure Cash Finance individually assesses each application for a $2,000 cash loan. Approval is never automatic or guaranteed.
WHO CAN APPLY FOR A $2,000 LOAN?
Any Australian aged 18 or over, with a regular income, may apply for a $2,000 loan. Income can come from wages (full-time, part-time or casual employment), self-employment, or eligible government payments such as Centrelink recipients (including JobSeeker, Disability Support Pension, Single Parent, Carer, and Parenting payments).
Past credit history is assessed as part of the application, and all credit histories are considered. The assessment considers your overall financial picture, including your income, living expenses and existing debts. If your application for a $2,000 personal loan is assessed as unsuitable, you may be offered a smaller amount or the application may be declined. Approval is never automatic or guaranteed.

$2,000 LOAN TERMS AND REPAYMENTS
Repayment terms can range from 16 days to 12 months. You can schedule your repayments to be weekly or fortnightly to align with your payday or Centrelink payment day. There are no hidden fees and no early repayment penalties. Because the monthly fee applies for each month of the term, choosing a shorter term reduces the total cost.
Use our online loan calculator to enter the amount you’d like to borrow and how long you’d like to take to pay it off. The calculator will then show your repayment schedule and the total amount payable before you apply.
If you need to borrow more than $2,000, a Personal Loan between $2,001 and $5,000 may be available.
WHAT DOES A $2,000 LOAN COST?
The fees for a $2,000 loan under a Small Amount Credit Contract (SACC) consist of an establishment fee of 20% of the loan amount (charged once) plus a monthly fee of 4% of the loan amount (charged each month of the term). There is no annual interest rate.
Here are two loan examples:
Example 1: For a $2,000 loan over 6 months, the establishment fee is $400, and the monthly fee is $80 x 6 months = $480. The total fees are $880, and the total amount repayable is $2,880.
Example 2: For a $2,000 loan over 12 months, the establishment fee is $400, and the monthly fee is $80 x 12 months = $960. The total fees are $1,360, and the total amount repayable is $3,360. Note: Over 12 months, the fees add up to more than two-thirds of the amount borrowed.

ALTERNATIVES TO CONSIDER FIRST
Before applying for a Small Amount Credit Contract (SACC) loan, there are other options to consider that may suit your situation better.
Here are four alternatives:
- The No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) offers zero-interest, no-fee loans up to $2,000 for eligible low-income Australians. NILS requires you to submit your quote with your application and, if approved, they pay it directly to the supplier/vendor. NILS loans are granted for essentials such as appliances or furniture, medical costs, car repairs, etc. They cannot be used for cash, bills, debts or rent.
- Apply for a Centrelink advance payment. Eligible recipients can request an advance on their future Centrelink payments from Services Australia at no cost.
- Ask the business you owe money to about a payment plan.
- Free, confidential financial counselling. You can access the National Debt Helpline on 1800 007 007 to discuss your debt problems and solutions. You can also visit the government’s MoneySmart website for budgeting guidance.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How much does a $2,000 loan cost?
The total cost depends on how long it takes to pay it off. There is an establishment fee of 20% of the loan amount (charged once) plus a monthly fee of 4% of the loan amount (charged each month of the term). Because the monthly fee applies for each month of the term, choosing a shorter term reduces the total cost.
For example, if the repayment term is six months, the total amount repayable would be $2,880 on a $2,000 loan.
If the loan term were, say, twelve months, the total amount repayable would be $3,360.
How long can I take to repay a $2,000 loan?
In accordance with SACC (Small Amount Credit Contract) guidelines, you have a maximum term of 12 months to repay a $2,000 loan. (The repayment terms for an SACC loan can range from 16 days to 12 months.)
Can I repay my $2,000 loan early?
Yes. There are no hidden fees and no early repayment penalties.
Will I definitely be offered the full $2,000?
This depends upon your assessment, which is performed according to responsible lending guidelines. The application could be approved (for the full $2,000) or declined, or you might be offered a lesser amount. Approval is never automatic or guaranteed.
